DRAMA QUEENS (AND KINGS)

On Friday, June 17, Ai New York City Liberal Arts instructor Diane Orr's English 235 class ("Readers' Theater") gave a closed performance in the Gallery. Ten students took turns reading monologues from contemporary plays which in included "For Colored Girls", "A Girl's Guide to Chaos", "Catholic School Girls" and "Black Friday".

Campus President Tad Graham-Handley, Academic Dean Dave Moughalian and Liberal Arts and Sciences Department Chair John Mancuso were on hand to view the students' efforts.

Although a challenge to read aloud in front of others (including one's own classmates), the students read with the professionalism of seasoned actors and did an outstanding job of communicating the powerful messages put forth in each monologue!

Congratulations to Diane Orr for her encouragement and to her students:

Great job everyone!
