Some Graphic Design and Digital Filmmaking students were given the opportunity to apply for NBC internships for the spring and summer!

Kaley Krueger and Lindsey Laughlin from the Admissions department helped chaperone the students.

The show will air in early February.

Class Creates Branding

Soosan Joon Silanee's Design Production Team completely branded a store in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn - logo, flyer, business cards, signage, posters and more. The boutique, Papel, also is showcasing the work of the artist.

The store merited a mention in the NY Times:

"Papél New York (225 Court; 718-422-0255; papelnewyork.com) sells sleek paper goods, including sheets of wrapping paper ($2.50 to $3 a sheet) that will class up even the smallest of gifts."

This experience offered valuable real world experience for the students!

Poster Workshop

On Saturday, January 16th, Instructor Isobel Melgarejo conducted a workshop for high school students interested in entering the Art Institutes/Americans for the Arts Poster Competition.

Hekuran Latifi, Associate Director of Admissions, serves as the very able Project Manager for the competition.
