Len Carter addresses the group

The Tribeca Film Festival officially wrapped on Friday May 13 with a celebration in the Gallery for all of the digital filmmaking students who worked the long hours editing and working the many events at the Festival. Tad Graham-Handley, Ai New York City's president and Len Carter an Ai New York City Alumnus and producer of the Tribeca Film Festival Kids Access were on hand to welcome all who participated and commended the students for a job well done. A DVD was shown in which the budding filmmakers shared their feelings about being selected to work at the prestigeous festival and the experience they will remember always.

"I could not have done it with out you" exclaimed Mr. Carter who then handed out award certificates to those present. He shared anecdotes that described each student's contributions. Both Tad and Len gave a special nod to the veterans in the the crew thanking them twice ... once for their service to our country and a second time for applying their military precision to the arduous task of editing footage from the festival and meeting the very tight deadlines. Len and Tad gave special praise to those Ai New York City staffers who worked "behind the scenes", ensuring "Team TFF" had space to work, equipment to work with and food to feed them.

Photos of Friday's awards presentation appear above. Great job everyone!
