On May 4, boxes and bags of fruits and vegetables arrived at the Ai New York City Gallery, not to be consumed by hungry crowds, but to be molded and shaped into beautiful fashion by Ai New York City Fashion Design students whose drawings were selected to participate in the "Edible Art" competition organized by Vikki Nulman.

The gallery was alive with activity as the selected students pinned leeks, kiwi fruit, grapes and all kinds of edible greenery (generously donated by Bay Area Produce) to dress forms. The result was a stunning (not to mention healthy and delicious) collection! Check out the photos above.
