DESIGNING WOMEN - AI NEW YORK CITY STYLE

The winners of the Leron D&D Window Competition were announced recently and Ai New York City Interior Design Students Alexandra Winokur, Terressa Maisonet and Tamara Belgrave were awarded the top honor! Ai New York City Interior Design Chair Anthony Caradonna said of the win:

"We celebrate another impressive performance and success of our students this quarter! I am very proud of all of you and honored to be serving such a talented and promising group of designers, students and educators!"

The competition was open to all ASID New York Metro students and contestants were asked to submit a sketch outlining their idea for a lobby window display featuring Leron bed linen products that were displayed in Leron's (suite 1521) in the D&D (Decoration & Design) building. Contestants were also asked to provide a written explanation of their idea along with swatches of materials to be used for the window.

The team will install their idea in the D&D building's ground floor lobby display window and it will be on display for a period of three months, with the team names and school affiliation. A cash award of $750 is also awarded for the winning display. The D&D building is located at 979 Third Avenue (between 58th & 59th Streets) for those wishing to view the display.
