For the past year Ai New York City has been awarding an additional form of institutional aid every quarter, called the Presidential Scholarship. Recipients receive the award for three quarters, and it is based on merit, as measured by: GPA, which must be 3.50 or higher; attendance; faculty letters of recommendation; involvement in the community; an essay; and other criteria.
The winners of the Presidential Scholarships this quarter are:
- Charles Brooks, from the Digital Film program
- Sharon Gardell, an Interior Design student
- Raakhee Khanna, from Fashion Design
- Brittany Mahoney, a Fashion Marketing and Merchandising student
- Julie Manso, another Digital Film student
- Theresa Montalvo, also in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising.
Congratulations to the students who won, and we urge the other applicants to apply again for next quarter.
