Alpha Channel a Hit!
On Friday evening, September 10, the best student films of the year were shown at the Tribeca Cinemas. The quality of the work was outstanding. The audience of students, faculty, friends and family were all extremely proud of the students' accomplishments.
During the first half, a juried selection of thirteen top student films was screened. After an intermission, seven Thesis Films of graduating students were shown.
Certificates were awarded by the Digital Filmmaking faculty.
According to Art Institute of New York City President Tad Graham-Handley, “I was very impressed by the films presented, not only for their creativity but also for the high level of technical skill they demonstrated. My congratulations to the students, and to the faculty who prepared them to produce such fine quality work.”
A complete list of awards will be available on Department Chair Eve Okupniak's blog.
The Best in Show award went to Jose M. Alvarado for "Whisper."

I think you should post the videos that were shown at the festival on the blog or at least those that placed for a certificate. this way the rest of us who stumble upon your blog could see the actual skills of the students featured. You can embed or upload video's that are compressed. Someone at your school should look into that as we'd love to see the work.
