Ai New York City Digital Filmmaking Students (Past & Present) Shine!





Digital Filmmaking Instructor Bec Stupak recently directed a video entitled Killian Well's "Psycho", featuring Hope Dworacyzk, Playboy Playmate of the Year for 2010. The video featured Ai New York City Digital Filmmaking Instructor John Woods (VFX Supervisor/Editor), Former Ai New York City student Gabriel Garcia Rosa (Gaffer), Ai New York City Alumnus Chris Baldyga (Best Boy)and current Ai New York City students Rene Nichols, Magdalena Grynasz (Production Assistants) and Christopher Williams (Key Production Assistant). Student Wellness Fair

Student Affairs hosted a wellness fair for Ai New York City students that started on Monday February 21 and ended today. Events scheduled included a yoga class, meditation class, health screenings including podiatry, blood pressure and oral health. Chair massages, Reki, accupuncture and Tarot card readings were also offered. A future wellness fair is being planned for the summer so stay tuned! Check out some of the photos from the fair.

Calling All Students!

Want to take a yoga class, meditate, get a relaxing chair massage or get health screenings and tips on dental/oral hygiene? You have come to the right place!

Ai New York City will be hosting a student wellness fair next week from Monday, February 21 through Thursday, February 24 and all students are welcome to attend. The schedule of events appears below:

Monday, February 21 - 12:15-1:15 p.m.
Stretch and relax with a Yoga class in Room 736-737

Tuesday, February 22 - 12:15-1:15 p.m.
Clear your mind and take a meditation breather in Room 731

Wednesday and Thursday, February 23 & 24 - 12 noon - 2:00 p.m.
Get a posture evaluation, check your blood pressure, learn about good dental/oral hygiene, body fat evaluation and relaxing chair massages will be given in the Gallery.

Battle of the Bands!

Gone to Plaid, a band managed by Ai New York City Web Design & Interactive Media student AJ Maniscalco, will be playing in the Battle of the Bands final at Sullivan Hall on Saturday February 26th. The show starts at 6:00 p.m. Sullivan Hall is located at 214 Sullivan Street in Manhattan (Between Bleecker & W. 3rd Streets)

AJ manages the band through his management company Ambush Music Management and is proud to say that his band is one of the favorites to win!

Drive-By Cupcakes


"Frankie" a 2007 culinary graduate suprised everyone on February 1st by arriving with a load of delicious cupcakes to show his appreciation to The Art Institute of New York City for his positive educational experience.
